When it comes to printing custom stickers, it’s understandable that you would have a few questions about what’s involved in the process and what happens after. In this article, we have endeavored to answer some of the more common questions that we receive about our services and stickers in general. We hope that you find the answers you’re looking for!
▪ “Do you do custom shapes or die-cuts?”
Yes, it is possible for your sticker to be cut into a unique shape, such as a star or heart. This is generally achieved via digital laser cutting, as it’s more economical than other processes and offers great image quality.
▪ “Is it possible to print on the backside?”
Although we aren’t able to print on the backside of a sticker, we are able to print on the liner backing. Whether you want to provide instructions or further your branding, please contact us for a quote.
▪ “Can you print labels for bottles?”
Yes, of course! We understand that bottles of water, wine and other beverages are popular giveaways, which is why we have plenty of label options to choose from – simply stick them on and you’re good to go!
▪ “Can stickers be easily removed?”
Many people are worried that stickers will leave a sticky residue behind once they’re removed. The longer the decal is left, the higher the potential for residue to be left. An all-purpose cleaner can generally remove it.
▪ “How much do stickers cost?”
This question is pretty difficult for us to answer, as it will depend on the artwork, the shape, the size, the material and the quantity that you wish to order. The best way to proceed is by requesting a quote.
▪ “Do I get a bigger discount if I order a higher quantity?”
In short, the answer is yes. Printing custom stickers at higher quantities does generally result in discounts, as it doesn’t cost us very much in terms of printing. Special deals are also sometimes offered.
▪ “What size should my final artwork be?”
When building your document, ensure that the page size is .25” larger in the height and width. This will account for the .125” bleed required on all sides for accurate trimming.
▪ “Should I use flat black or rich black?”
We recommend using rich black in your artwork, as it can add a fantastic look to the final piece. It also helps during the printing process by ensuring that the colours are bold and vibrant.
▪ “Can you match the colours you see in my image?”
Generally, the answer to this question is yes. When using our digital 4 colour process, we’re able to achieve up to 95% accuracy in colour matching. We can also match Pantone colours if required.
If you have a pressing question about printing custom stickers, we hope that you found the answer somewhere in the above article.
